Meet Jasmine Low

Owner and Head Optometrist

Jasmine Low’s passion for optometry began in her teenage years, working alongside her parents in their optical shop in Singapore. Surrounded by all things optical from an early age, she quickly developed a deep appreciation for the profession and, most importantly, the difference personalised eye care can make.

After completing her Diploma at Singapore Polytechnic, Jasmine moved to Sydney to study Optometry at the University of New South Wales. She later made Western Australia home, becoming a proud West Aussie and building a career centred around independent, community-focused eye care.

With more than 25 years of experience as an Optometrist and over 20 years running her own independent practices, Jasmine has cared for generations of patients across Falcon, Pinjarra and now Margaret River.

For Jasmine, optometry is about more than checking your vision. It’s about taking the time to understand each patient, providing personalised advice and care, and building lasting relationships within the community.

Today, Jasmine brings her experience, genuine passion and commitment to personalised care to her practice in Margaret River—continuing to provide the kind of friendly, independent eye care that puts patients first.

FAQ's...

Clear Answers

We believe healthcare should be transparent and straightforward. Here is everything you need to know about preparing for your visit, health rebates, and our clinical examination standards.

Do I need a doctor's referral to schedule a consultation?

No referral is required. You can book an appointment directly with our optometrists online or over the phone. If an ophthalmological condition requires secondary surgical care, we coordinate direct referrals to regional specialists on your behalf.

Are consultations Bulk-Billed to Medicare?

Most standard eye tests are bulk billed, with no out-of-pocket cost for eligible patients. Additional specialised services, such as dry eye assessments, OCT scans and other advanced diagnostic testing, may incur a separate fee. We’ll always explain any additional costs before proceeding.

Can I use my Private Health Insurance?

Yes. We have HICAPS available, so you can claim your eligible private health insurance rebate on the spot at your appointment. Simply bring your private health insurance card with you.

How long does a comprehensive eye examination take?

Standard clinical consultations usually take about 30 minutes This allows sufficient time for precision digital retinal mapping, intraocular pressure measurement, and a personalized discussion of your visual health without feeling rushed.

At what age should children have their first clinical eye check?

We recommend an initial screening from around 4 years old or earlier if you observe eye rubbing, squinting, or tracking difficulty. We also encourage getting their eyes tested before they begin school. Early detection of binocular vision imbalances ensures crucial visual development pathways remain supported.

What should I bring to my initial appointment?

Please bring your Medicare card, private health insurance card, your current spectacles or contact lens packaging, and a list of any regular prescription medications or systemic health conditions (such as diabetes).
